Course Contents:
The lecture covers a variety of topics on data models and query languages, discussing classical as well as recent developments in database research.- Relations: Conjunctive Queries and Datalog
- Trees: XML, XPath and XQuery
- Graphs: RDF and SPARQL
Necessary Prerequisites:
The key course (Kursvorlesung) 'Databases and Information Systems' or an equivalent Database course.

Exam
You have to submit at least 50% of the requested exercises to be qualified to take the exam.
The written exam will take place at September 16th, 2013, 10:00-11:30, Room 010/14, Building 101.
The exam review takes places at September 25th, 2013, 11am, Room 01-029, Building 51.
